Are nylon rollers better than steel ones?
The so called nylon rollers actually have steel stems and nylon wheels. They have two major advantages. They are much quieter than their all-steel counterparts when they guide the door along the tracks. Furthermore, they don’t need lubrication. In fact, the lubricant can damage them. The major drawback of the rollers with nylon wheels is that they tend to wear more quickly compared to the all-steel ones.
I’m going away for a few weeks, how can I reinforce the security of my garage door?
Although your garage door is already equipped with an electronic garage door opener, you can reinforce it by installing slide bolt locks on each side of the door. But you may need to disable your door opener.
Can I replace just a portion of my garage door?
Yes. Garage door panel replacement is possible provided that your door is not custom made. Another thing that you need to consider with this kind of garage door service is the color and you may need to repaint the whole garage door to achieve color matching.
How do I know my door is balanced?
